Habitat Planners Ltd (HP) is a consulting firm with offices in Nairobi and registered under the Companies Act (Cap 486) under registration certificate No. C112498. It is recognized by the Government of Kenya authorities as a legal entity. Habitat Planners is a Spatial Planning and Environment Consultancy firm professionally registered with the Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP), the Physical Planners Registration Board (PPRB), the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA No. 0465 as a firm of experts for Environmental Assessments,SESAs, ESIAs and Environmental Audits) and Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK). Further, it is registered with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)(PIN P051355840D & VAT No. 0200089Z), and complies with all the legal and statutory requirements of the laws of Kenya.

Our Clientele

The firm has successfully completed assignments for a wide range of clients including the UNDP, GoK, Kenya Railways, NEMA, KENGEN, KEPHIS and KWS. The firm has also worked for international and bilateral agencies including AWF, WWF, ACC, DfID, SIDA. It has also served a large number of private sector clients such as Cortec Mining Company, USIU, Timsales, West Kenya Sugar, Vittoria Ltd and Webuye Pan Paper. In recent years, habitat Planners has been involved in the preparation of spatial and urban plans for Nakuru County, Turkana County and Kajiado County. A number of associate consultants at Habitat planners have undertaken consultancy assignments in a number of other African countries including Djibouti, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo and Somaliland.
